How We Structure Learning
Most people get overwhelmed trying to memorize accounting principles. We break things down into manageable pieces you can actually use.
Practical Documentation First
You'll start with basic invoice processing and receipts. Real documents businesses handle every single day. Once you're comfortable there, we add complexity bit by bit.
Software Training Alongside Theory
Learning concepts is one thing. Knowing how to enter them into Xero or MYOB is another. We teach both at the same time so you're job-ready faster.
Australian Tax Compliance Focus
GST, BAS statements, payroll tax — we cover the stuff that matters here. Not generic international content that doesn't match what the ATO expects.
Real Business Scenarios
Forget textbook examples. You'll work through actual situations from local businesses: messy receipts, missing documentation, reconciliation headaches.

Learn From Someone Who's Done The Work
"I spent fourteen years doing bookkeeping for businesses across Darwin and Katherine. I've seen every mistake people make when they're learning — and I know how to help you avoid them."
Lesley McKinnon coordinates our financial records program. Before teaching, she managed accounts for construction firms, retail shops, and professional services. She knows what employers expect because she was that employer reviewing candidates.
Her approach is straightforward. If something's confusing, she'll explain it three different ways until it clicks. Students appreciate that she doesn't pretend this stuff is simple — but she also doesn't make it scarier than it needs to be.

Enrollment Opens August 2025
We're accepting applications for the October 2025 intake right now. Classes are limited to 24 students so everyone gets proper attention.
